Besseges.net is a web site dedicated to providing a service for Bessèges and the surrounding area.

Besseges is situated in the Cevennes mountain region in the south of France. The area is becoming increasingly popular with tourists who want to discover an unspoiled area of France and wild countryside. In particular the area attracts those who like outdoor pursuits such as canoeing, hill walking, mountain biking, and horse riding.

There are of course a variety of other activities for visitors to the area, including:
Swimming in beautiful, clear rivers
Camping.
The impressive cave system at "La Grotte de La Cocalière"
Panning for gold
Naturist Camping
Wine tasting at local vineyards.
Restaurants which provide good quality food at reasonable prices.
The local markets also sell a wide variety of locally grown produce and specialities of the area.

On Besseges.net our aim is to provide useful information about the area and services available, for tourists wishing to visit the area and for a local audience.
